ypbind/nis fails due to "dhclient-script" overwrites /etc/yp.conf

Description of problem:



The DHCP server in this environment says to broadcast requests to NIS servers, which results 

in the following being written to yp.conf:





# generated by /sbin/dhclient-script

domain my.domain broadcast

               ********************************************************

How to get rid of this? 

1. Add the line "PEERNIS=no" in /etc/sysconfig/network

If this will not resolve then follow below; 

move or remove "/etc/dhcp/dhclient.d/nis.sh" file. 

# mv /etc/dhcp/dhclient.d/nis.sh /backup/nis.sh.org
